The classes I usually main are Necromancer, Warrior, Revenant, or Guardian. So I was wondering how Harbinger, Bladesworn, Vindicator, and Willbender stack up in PvE right now. I usually like to do all of the new stuff and spend a lot of time with the new elite specs. I'm sorry if this is seems like a lazy post but I have been on YouTube and Posted May 19, 2022. I'd say Guardian is your best choice out of the non-Necromancer professions. Both Guardian and Necromancer are Arenanet's love children and thus the best. 13 hours ago, Arklite.4013 said: I'm also a big fan of Warrior. Very strong in solo play and will always have a niche in PvE with banners. Not simply the strongest spec, but the one that you think improves upon the base class the most and is the most fun to play for you. Feel free to explain your choice. (Guardian) Dragon Hunter. 4. (Guardian) Firebrand. 13. (Revenant) Herald. 3. (Revenant) Renegade. Necro, Warrior and Guardian have the best options for sustain at melee range, but their damage to durability ratio varies heavily, and specing too far away from damage actually makes fights harder. Ele and Mesmer are strong damage options, but the way their builds scale when not running pure glass requires a higher level of player knowledge to With the classes you will need to see. Most classes can be played in a pretty different way due to their 3 elite specialisations and builds. A scourge (necromancer) is a pretty decent pick for playing solo in my opinion, since they have lots of sustain with their barrier. That’s 2 suggestions for necromancer. With the recent buffs to Shadow Form in PvE you can maintain it 100%, and there's like a handful of skills that can stop it. You could run almost anything, and farm a whole lot of stuff. Second best solo class might be monk or ele depending on the area. Ele is pretty good at solo PvE, but squishy. If you want something more suited for solo, give Thief a try. regendo • 7 yr. ago. Thief is in my experience the only profession that feels even more squishy than Elementalist, which is impressive because it has more base armour. 3. Tcrumpen • 7 yr. ago. Some classes have it much easier in open world pve. Reaper has the highest base health pool, bonus health from shroud, and minions to take hits for you. Guardian on the other hand has the lowest base health, and relies on cc, positioning, blocks, and aegis to survive. Ranger and necro are very similar to me in solo play pve. You can get a pet or minion on either class to act as a distraction/damage source and both classes are fairly tough and have decent health pools. Their high end play is quite different, but for just fiddling around in zones, similar assumptions. Team-play wise, rangers bring some very Necro is good for casual raids but bad for speed runs. However since the meta is based on speedrunning strats, it can be hard to find accepting groups. For anything else PvE, necro is one of the best classes. For PvP you of course don't need to level it, but it is a very solid PvP class. Not over or under powered. rnqJd.
